Background Mikko Leppilampi, born on the 22nd of September 1978, is an actor and singer, graduated from the Finnish Theatre Academy. Mikko got recognized with his role in the movie Helmiä ja sikoja (2003), which he was awarded also the Jussi Award for the best male actor. Movies: Keisarikunta (2004), Paha Maa (2005), Kaksipäisen kotkan varjossa (2005), Tyttö sinä olet tähti (2005) and Saippuaprinssi (2006).


Awards, Theatre and Voice Acting In 2005 Mikko Leppilampi was awarded the Mer Licht Award at the Laterna Magica Film Festival in Porvoo. This was the first time the domestic Mer Licht movie award was assigned to an actor. Mikko is also in the Municipal Theatre of Helsinki in a play called "Hairspray". He has given his voice for the animated movie Madagascar and the Narnia movie "The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe".


Music Besides the acting, Mikko has made a significant career also as a professional singer. So far Mikko has been known mostly for his performances on movie soundtracks, but in 2006 he released also a debut solo album. The first single was featured as a theme song in the movie "Saippuaprinssi". The debut album was released in May of 2006.
